What is BitTorrent?BitTorrent will work just fine in a traditional network address translation (NAT) environment. Though your speeds might not be maxed out. In order to fully unleash your top speed, you will need to accept incoming connections. You must use a port forwarding like feature of whichever device performs your NAT/gateway/firewall task. Typically a home user will have a router of some sort (Linksys, d-link, netgear, etc). You will then forward the ports on the incoming connection to your router.
